With American Idol Tour tickets already on sale, we finally know which of the contestants will be part of the headlining Top 5. After the American Idol results show last night, the finalists set to roam about the country entertaining fans this summer are: Rayvon Owen, Jax, Nick Fradiani, Clark Beckham, and Tyanna Jones.
American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez thinks the lineup for this summer’s American Idol Tour will be a real treat for the fans.
“It’s very eclectic, it’s super eclectic, and I think that’s going to be good,” Lopez said in a post-show interview. “You want them to be exciting performers, you want it to be different, and you want it to have variety, and I think they have that this year.”
No matter what happens from here on out in the competition, the American Idol Top 5 can look forward to touring the country after the show ends and getting their first taste of what it’s like to be a working musician on the road.
With the Top 5 lineup set for the American Idol 2015 tour, judges Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban reminisced with Fox Audio Central about their experiences going on on the road for their first national tour.
“It’s sort of weird because it was sort of incrementally I was stepping up to that. I mean because to some degree, you know, you tour as an opening act too, so then slowly,” Keith Urban said. “And then sometimes within a tour, you’re the opening act and you do a few headline shows and then back to opening again. So there’s a like just a slow easing up into it. But these guys are going to strut into the arena, it’s going to be a blast for them. ”
Harry Connick Jr. also looks back fondly at his early years. “I remember when I was 18 I was in a rock and roll band playing at a club in San Francisco in Mill Valley, so oh yeah, I remember it well.”
No doubt the Top 5 will remember their American Idol Tour experience just as clearly as the judges do their first time hitting the road.

I’m saving my money for when Jena tours this summer! I expect to hear a single from her within a month or two. It would seem her mangers are setting a date later rather than sooner this year for her album. Something a “Major” record label would never do (only looking for the instant money). Also, Jena has stated that she was more free to present what she wanted on her album (unlike Caleb at 19) Jena’s the closest idol to Taylor Swift (in writing her own songs) than any other winner or loser.
