Starting Sunday the American Idol 2018 Top 24 will start performing for the judges to make their final choices, and thanks to American Idol spoilers that came in earlier this season, we’ve got the solo round song choices for you.
I have to say, some of these song choices are very interesting. Some have me really excited while some others have me scratching my head. To be honest, though, I am way more excited about these solo performances than I am the Celebrity Duet performances we shared with you Thursday.
Check out the song spoilers below and we’ll discuss after. Reminder: The Top 24 have been divided in two groups, so one group will perform this Sunday, April 8, while the other takes the stage Sunday, April 15.

10. Jurnee Siani – “Flashlight” by Jessie J.
11. Shannon O’Hara – “All I Ask” by Adele
12. Ron Bultongez – “Dancing On My Own” by Robyn
I’m most intrigued by Dominique’s version of “Ain’t Nobody,” Catie Turner choosing “Call Me,” Maddie Poppe doing “Brand New Key” (I love that silly song!), and Ron Bultongez picking “Dancing On My Own.” I’m guessing Ron will do the Callum Scott version of Dancing on my Own.
The song choices I really don’t get are Effie Passero’s (“Barracuda”) and Shannon O’Hara’s (“All I Ask”). I feel like those song choices are asking for it. And Effie is one of my favorites.
And the most boring song choice goes to Garrett Jacob’s “Treat You Better” by Shawn Mendes. Snore.
What do you think of these American Idol Top 24 song choices? Who will you be rooting for?
