The American Idol 2013 Top 9 took on songs from the John Lennon and Paul McCartney songbook Wednesday night and it was a surprisingly sleepy night. There were only a few standouts and one dud. The others played it very safe and somewhat boring.
And even though there were clear winners and losers from the night, we all know that American Idol voters don’t always sway that way. They go with who they love and usually who they love can do no wrong. So I think it should be pretty easy to predict the outcome Thursday night. Or at least get a pretty-close prediction going. Oh, and please keep in mind that these thoughts are NOT my opinion, but how I think America will vote.
American Idol Results Predictions
100 Percent Safe: Angie Miller, Candice Glover, Kree Harrison
Most Likely Safe: Lazaro Arbos, Janelle Arthur, Burnell Taylor, Amber Holcomb
Possibly The Bottom Two: Paul Jolley and Devin Velez
Probably Going Home: Devin Velez
Will the judges use their save on Devin: NO
Scenario 2

Thoughts: I think the first scenario is more likely. I do think it’s possible for Amber to be in the bottom two. If she’s not in the bottom two, then she’s probably in the bottom four. Randy said something about her not going anywhere. Which is just more of production trying to guide this thing toward the girls. They want all the guys gone ASAP. So while the judges are pushing for Amber to be popular, she just isn’t. She even has the lowest amount of Twitter followers of the Top 9.
I do hope I’m wrong about Devin because I thought he was the best guy performer tonight. If I had my way, he’d switch places with Lazaro after his horrible showing Wednesday night. But I have a feeling Devin is the one in danger.

I think you are probably correct with your prediction. It is the same one I made. I also agree with you that Lazero should be the one leaving but a lot of people really like him so prob won’t happen. Me I am all about Angie Miller! LOVE HER!!

🙁 . I unsurprisingly predicted the same thing. Either Amber or Paul with Devin. Maybe Paul will leave and he should leave before Devin. Devin was top 3 of the night and definitely the best guy.

how comne when charlie almsot cries charlie is unstable, but lazaros can burst into tears like a big fat baby, and awwwwww poor lazaros, im fed up with it.
It was hardly the same. I got the impression Lazaro was thinking he should have gone with his first choice and not listened to Jimmy and thats the main reason the judges comments hit him so hard. Its a damn shame really. But if there is a PLOT going on to ELIMINATE the guys then its appalling how transparent they are being about it.

How is it the same? Charlie’s emotional outburst was brought on by his own personal issues. Lazaro’s reaction was due to the fact that he relied on Jimmy’s advice and was then told by the judges that he was awful.
nah dude, Charlies emotional “outburst” (whatev! looking sad is not an outburst) was brought on by that vapid loudmouth sex-doll looking thing running his looks down rather nastily. No one I know can stand her. She’s poison. She’s helping destroy the ratings every time she says she wants to marry someone’s boobs or eat them, or whatever insanity comes out of that piehole.
Lazaro has too many fans. He was the NUMBER ONE guy last week. He won’t go anywhere soon
Amber in the possible bottom two that scenario does not work, she will most likely pick up some of the votes from Curtis who was kick off. The ones likely in the bottom two will be Paul and Devin or Paul and Lazzaro.

like everyone has noted, lazaros is the weakest singer in the show, but he’s likeable, and the sob story got him into the top 10, so he better be thankful for the stutter, cuz if it wasnt for that lazaros wouldce been cut during hollywood week.

I really hope Branden is wrong about Devin going home this week. If “this is a singing competition” then he is the best. He did a fantastic job on The Long and Winding Road and his outfit suited him much better than the “ice cream scooper” look he’s been sporting up till now. He showed he can look handsome and appealing for a change. Of course, its totally possible that Lazaro will stay because people love him and his story. It would’nt be the first time that’s happened. I don’t think the judges will use the save on Devin either.
Lazaro for what ever reason has lost his confidence. His heart isnt in not sure what happen?

Branden, judges like Amber because she is good. We have seen you don’t. Last night – for Amber – and one or two of the others – music and other musicians on the stage drowned them out. Poor Amber seem to realize this near the end and won out over them. It was then I thought – what a beautiful voice she has. This is why I haven’t given up on her.
For me, it’s getting to the point where I hate to see anyone go home when they’re adding a person (wild card) who was already eliminated. I do believe Clay Aiken was a wild card during his season, but were the circumstances different? I like Amber’s voice. I don’t know why she isn’t getting the backing. I’m not looking for an argument. I just want to see things from someone else’s point of view. Would someone explain what they don’t like about her voice? That being said I also like the other girls. Janelle was the one I would have picked to be the first girl eliminated, but I really liked her performance last night, and that changed my mind. Anyway, I’m liking this season more and more. Thanks to Matt and Branden for continuing to give us your input and asking for ours.
Hi giselle, I feel like you. I’m really enjoying the show so far. I really like the girls and of course AI has set it up that way. No WGWG this year…..Johnny Keyser should have made the Top 10, I think he was better that at least three of the guys but AI was afraid he get all the teeny votes because he was a cutie….Oh well….by now we should be use to the politics. LOL

On your comment, I have to look up really hard on the dictionary, looking if the definition for the word “worst” had changed. Apparently, It has not. You must be living on a different planet with different sort of reality and, of course, a different meaning to the word “worst”.
And I stand by my CORRECT comment that Paul was the worst guy and Amber is the worst girl. Votes don’t lie buddy. Sorry.
He does say he wants to be the “male version” of Carrie Underwood often, doesn’t he? I’m not sure he has the legs (in every sense of the word).
