The 2015 American Idol Tour dates will feature the Top 5 contestants from Season 14, giving fans the opportunity to get “Up Close and Personal” with their favorite performers of the year. As always, American Idol tour dates tickets are available for purchase online.
Each summer the American Idol Tour features the season’s best of the best as they cross the country to perform in dozens of cities. Fans are offered an up close view of their favorites in both solo and group performances at each show.
American Idol 2015 Tour:
For the American Idol Live Tour this year, the cast will be cut down from the Top 10 to just the Top 5 contestants from Season 14. This will allow fans to hear more of their top favorites from American Idol 2015.
This will be the 14th consecutive year of the American Idol Tour, and will focus on showcasing the individual artistry and talents of the Top 5, all set to a live band. The 2015 American Idol tour will hit 37 dates across the U.S., starting with a performance at Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida on July 7. The tour will close out on August 28 in Riverside, California.
Worried about missing out on your local favorite Top 10 contestant? Well, we don’t have solid details yet, but it appears that contestants 6-10 may pop up near their hometowns at various American Idol 2015 tour dates.

American Idol 2014 Tour:
The 2014 American Idol tour featured winner Caleb Johnson and runner-up Jena Irene Ascuitto, as well as Season 13 finalists C.J. Harris, Jessica Meuse, MK Nobilette, Alex Preston, Dexter Roberts, Majesty Rose, Malaya Watson and Sam Woolf.
Country singer Dexter Roberts was forced to leave the tour after becoming quite ill due to Rocky Mountain Spotted Tick Fever. For every ticket purchased during the tour, $1 of sales was donated to the Melanoma Research Alliance.
American Idol 2013 Tour:
The American Idol 2013 summer tour included the Top 10 singers plus one wild card pick, Aubrey Cleland, as selected by the audience votes. Fans watched performances across the country by Amber Holcomb, Angie Miller, Burnell Taylor, Candice Glover, Curtis Finch Jr, Devin Velez, Janelle Arthur, Kree Harrison, Lazaro Arbos, and Paul Jolley.
American Idol 2012 Tour:
Concert events took place from July 6, 2012 through September 11, 2012.
American Idol 2011 Tour:
For the 2011 American Idol tour, an exception was made to the Idol tour lineup, and an extra singer has been granted a seat on the bus. Those 11 singers were: Casey Abrams, Haley Reinhart, Jacob Lusk, James Durbin, Lauren Alaina, Naima Adedapo, Paul McDonald, Pia Toscano, Scotty McCreery, Stefano Langone, and Thia Megia.
American Idol 2010 Tour:
American Idol 2009 Tour:
The 2009 American Idol Live! Tour featured the season’s Top 10 singers: Kris Allen, Anoop Desai, Matt Giraud, Danny Gokey, Allison Iraheta, Megan Joy, Adam Lambert, Scott MacIntyre, Lil Rounds, and Michael Sarver. The tour lasted from early July to mid-September with 52 events across 50 cities.
Ticket sales were excellent with an estimate $30 million in gross revenue and included eight sell out venues.
