You can see in the notations after each name if they participated in a previous season and how far they made it in the process. “HW” stands for Hollywood Week and “LVR” stands for Las Vegas Round.
Now that we have a long list of names we’ll take a look at what we can find on each of the singers and work our way through. It’ll be fun to learn more about each of them as the Season 12 auditions begin on January 16, 2013.

It stands for White Guy With Guitar, which is what the last several winners have been.
wow, what a way to spoil things up…AI should have not release any information yet about this or if unavoidable should have earlier show release since THE VOICE and THE X-FACTOR has already wrap it up for their season.
AI did not release this information. It was collected by leaks and insiders. I’d imagine FOX would rather not have this list out there.
FOX doesn’t start Idol just before Christmas because there is less viewership then. That’s why you typically see shows either end before Christmas or go on a month long hiatus.
just an idea, why can’t every state have their own version of American Idol which the winner will represent their place to the nationwide televised search…LOL…atleast every part of the US has a chance to show their talent.
That’s a cool idea. Seems like something they could do in the off-season so they could get in a couple of seasons each year.
Come on judges!! Bring back Devyn P! It was unfortunate that he had laryngitis during Hollywood week! That ruined everything for him! You guys don’t have a taste yet of what he can do! You let go of someone that we all know would have made an amazing addition to the AI finalists & would have turned on more AI viewers to the set! He already has fans all over the place! Please bring him back! You won’t regret it one bit!
I was surprised Johnny Keyser was cut last year, has to be early favorite this year…
I think he was cut because he continued singing while his singing partner was lying writhing on the stage.

American Idol is very disappointing this year! I was a fan for years. But the choices and actions of the female judges is too disappointing to continue .
